Two West Side CTC Students Strike Gold!

Winning awards at any level of Skills USA is a daunting task. After all, students are competing against the best of the best in their respective areas. When our students from West Side CTC are awarded medals at the District Competition we are extremely proud of their accomplishments. It is an even higher honor to place first in District Competition and be asked to represent your district at the state level. When you arrive at the Pennsylvania State Skills USA Competition, you are faced with the absolute best that Pennsylvania has to offer. Two students from West Side CTC recently achieved the ultimate success at the state level, when they were awarded gold medals for their performance. Jennifer Kelly, a senior from Wyoming Area, and Sam O'Connell, a senior from Lake-Lehman, represented their Audio-Visual Communications class from West Side CTC at the Pennsylvania State Skills USA competition. Jennifer and Sam placed first in the state in the television production competition, and will be representing Pennsylvania at the USA National Skills Olympic Competition in Kansas City Missouri. The entire West Side Career & Technology family is extremely proud of their accomplishments and wishes Sam and Jennifer the best of luck at the national level!
